At this point in time, 160 acres of the farm's pasture is certified organic. Our organic garden takes up three of those acres currently. The rest is used to grow organic hay. We are in the process of determining other crops that we can grow in order to move us closer to our goal of self sufficiency.
In 2010 we started our first ever CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) and supplied vegetables and organic milk products (from our cows) to members of the Philadelphia temple as well as to other members of the Philadelphia community.
This year, we hope to expand our garden to include native flowers and herbs. We are also planning number of "Field to Feast" Farm Dinners for people who are interested in homegrown foods.
