Dear Devotees,
HH Devamrita SwamiHare Krishna! When things are good at Gita Nagari, they are REALLY good! Those of you who were not at this Sunday's service missed an extraordinary ecstatic kirtan led by HH Devamrita Swami. While things started out slowly, he certainly knows his audience and knows how to lead a kirtan that is very blissful and enlivening.
The men were dancing ecstatically as were the ladies as the pictures can attest to.
Ladies Dancing
How nice it would be if we had someone like him with us at all times, but once a year is better than not at all. He will still be at GN through Tuesday and leave on Wednesday. (Monday and Tuesday, 20 & 21 June - Class at Institute House - 7-8 pm).
It is wonderful to have Vrsabhanu pr, M Candrika, Radha-rasa-suddha-niddhi and Jyoti at Gita Nagari. Also, Ekavira Prabhu and M. Vraja Lila
Ecstatic Kirtanhave returned from India and are residing at the farm for a while.
The delivering of organic produce to Philadelphia is going well. Sunday a devotee from there came to pick up the veggies and Dhruva prabhu remarked how important it is to send veggies into town - Many folks don't know what to do with kale or swiss chard.
This is a wonderful opportunity to educate everyone, he plans to put a little newsletter in each box explaining the vegetables and giving some recipes to boot.
We also had a community meeting on this very busy Sunday and mostly discussed this year's Ratha Yatra, scheduled for July 31st.
Help is certainly needed in all departments and if you have the time and inclination, we will be very happy to welcome you! You can call the farm at 717 527 4101 or send e-mail to M. Parijata dd: parijata.bts@gmail.com
Please also do not forget that you can donate toward the expenses of the festival. Just look under Quick Links on the left side of the webpage and you will find a link "Ratha Yatra Donations". This will bring you to a paypal site. Please be generous. We want to have a wonderful festival again this year.
Along those lines, we have received a proclamation from Harrisburg Mayor Linda Thompson, while she cannot be here personally, she did send her best wishes. We are hoping to see her at Gita Nagari next year!
We are also members of the local Chamber of Commerce and they have already sent out a flyer and will do so again closer to the event. We hope many devotees as well as local people will come and enjoy the festivities!
